Commercial Lending Attorney
Commercial Lending Attorney needed at a prominent New York City real estate law firm. The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise with conventional lending and Agency lending, as well as with real estate lending experience involving loan participations, mezzanine and high yield financing, note-on-note financing, construction lending, and leasehold financing. The Partner is this role will be building the infrastructure of the firms lending practice. Candidates must demonstrate enthusiasm for marketing activities and cultivating client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Highly motivated and intelligent attorney with a minimum portable book of $250k.
- Well-versed in representing institutional lenders, debt funds, CMBS lenders, and DUS lenders in permanent loan and construction loan financing.
- Experience in handling various commercial loan financings, including mezzanine loans, construction loans, agency loans, CMBS loans, and leasehold financing.
- Active New York State Bar license and in good standing.
- Minimum 7 years of sophisticated experience representing lenders.
- Strong negotiating and drafting skills.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and independently negotiate all types of commercial loan documents in NY and throughout the country on behalf of lenders.
- Review and approve title commitments and lender’s title policies.
- Supervise local counsel as needed.
- Participate in marketing efforts, including drafting publications.
- Adhere to Firm’s policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned on an as-needed basis.

- Compensation will be dependent on factors including years of experience, portable book of business, professional accomplishments, education, etc.
